Due to my allegations of harassment, gaslighting, incompetence, and cyber-stalking against the Missouri DNR and State Historic Preservation Office, I am closing shop. The stress of the retaliatory treatment I’ve received as a disabled veteran with a 100% VA rating–including refusing or inappropriately modifying reasonable ADA accommodations–after I leveled my allegations has been reprehensible and inflamed my health issues.

Midwest Preservation Group, LLC is a disabled veteran-owned company that works with various entities to protect historical resources.

We have a simple philosophy: We can learn from and preserve the past while moving forward, that our past informs our future.

To that end, our goal is to preserve history in all forms–buildings, lands, newspapers audio records, and more–so future generations can learn about and appreciate and learn from the past.

Current Projects

South Elevation Facing North
The Gucker Coal Company Office is the last extant remnant of the coal industry in Marceline, Missouri. For decades, coal was mined in and around Marceline, shipped not only locally but across the nation. We recently were able to get the State of Missouri to approve it as eligible for the National Register and we’ve now partnered with the owner to get it on the Register.

We appreciate history, so we have thrown our support behind the Marceline Historical Society, a certified 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to preserving all of Marceline, Missouri’s history. Check them out at marcelinehistoricalsociety.com.

Lincoln School

We have submitted the National Register nomination for the Marceline Lincoln School, the last extant property in Linn County, MO. relating to the Black community in Marceline and Linn County.

Midwest_resampled

We are working with the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Marceline, built in 1915 and incorporating the original church into its renovation, to complete their NRHP nomination application.
