The Gucker Coal Company Office is the last extant remnant of the coal industry in Marceline, Missouri. For decades, coal was mined in and around Marceline, shipped not only locally but across the nation. We recently were able to get the State of Missouri to approve it as eligible for the National Register and we’ve now partnered with the owner to get it on the Register.
